VCEVET Dance | Certificate II in Dance

If you enroll in this course you will learn:

  • Technique and performance skills in 2 dance styles
  • How to find work in the dance industry
  • How to prepare for dance performances
  • Plus: research skills, Industry specific OHS and communication skills

 

VCE VET Dance is a Certificate II in Dance. It is a pre-vocational course, and will prepare you to audition for further (tertiary) training in dance as a teacher, performer or choreographer. The course gives you a taste of what the industry is like so you can work out if you want to pursue dance as a career.

If you successfully complete this course you will receive a Certificate II in Dance CUA20111.

VET Dance is available as a VCE subject OR as part of a VCAL program. Ask your VET coordinator more about VET dance if you are a VCAL student.

 Contribution to Enter Score:

2 solos (one in each dance style) contribute 50% to your ENTER score. School assessed coursework contributes the other 50%

“After successfully completing all four units of VCE/VET Dance at Bev Palmer Performing Arts, Sarah was very fortunate to be selected to perform her jazz solo in the Top Class showcase at the Melbourne Recital Centre. After performing this piece, Sarah was then selected to perform her solo at the Top Act’s showcase in VIC.
